01 — The Challenge

One tenant. Thousands of users, no context.

KION Group needed to migrate its US IT tenant into the European tenant: consolidating users, SharePoint, and data onto shared infrastructure, with careful data preservation and clear guidance for a workforce with no context for what was changing.

02 — My Role & Approach

Digital project management and CMS, run as one workstream.

I served as both digital project manager and CMS manager, splitting time roughly 60% project management and 40% hands-on CMS work.

01Coordinated the CMS and digital project roadmap across 12 months.
02Built and published CMS pages, knowledge hubs, FAQs, and quizzes for non-technical users.
03Coordinated with IT on timing, publishing videos, graphics, and webinars on schedule.

03 — The Consolidation

Two tenants. One unified system.

The US tenant's users and data, consolidated into KION's European environment.

4,000+ users migrated · 1 unified European tenant

04 — Results

The rollout beat IT's own forecast.

0Month roadmap
0Knowledge hub pages & deliverables
0Users migrated
0%Quiz completion rate
Help desk ticket volume came in below IT's forecast, credited to the FAQ hub and pre-migration quiz. IT reused the knowledge hub template for two more regional migrations.
Why It Mattered

Technical migrations succeed or fail on how well people understand and trust the process.Owning both the project and CMS management meant every deliverable was built with direct knowledge of its timeline and audience.
